Jaron Dickson studied Industrial Design at Monash University in Melbourne. After graduating, Jaron worked for companies Ford and Volkswagen for close to a decade, in Australia and Germany.

In 2016, Jaron shifted his passion in design to furniture, homewares and lighting. He loves the idea that someone would choose a product that fits into their life or makes their home better in some way; and from these ideas, soon after Ontic Design - ‘Objects for living’ was born.

Ontic's philosophy lies with the great designers of the 20th century that had little interest in decorative elements. A pure functional approach is always the top priority when designing to ensure the product will be kept for a lifetime.

Ontic Design has exhibited in numerous design showcases and in 2019 was awarded Highly Commended at Denfair’s Front Centre Award for the modular Grenache Wine System.
As well as our direct-to-client range, Ontic Design has also worked with clients including private architecture commissions and fashion label store collaborations for leading International fashion brands.

Jaron currently lives in Melbourne with his partner & their Australian Terrier, Freddie.
